What A Pickle!: Intro to Canning and Pickling

Pickling and canning can be harder than it first looks, but Geneva Lakes helps make it easy! Join them to learn the basics so you can make tasty (and safe) canned goods at home - from sweet, savory, and spicy! Students will get to sample some of Geneva Lakes delicious pickles & jams plus learn about the sometimes surprising produce items that can be preserved in this way (hint: it's not just cucumbers) and why some items are more difficult than others!

Students will have a private shopping opportunity at Better Knife and Kitchen Store after the class where they can pick up all the supplies you need to get started on your preservation journey.
